The unique landscape of Trakai, "the town of lakes" as it is often called, is comprised of numerous picturesque lakes and hills. The main landmark of Tarkai is the famous insular Trakai Castle. Tour to Kaunas and Rumsiskes Open air museum (7 hrs)

7-hour long tour to Rumsiskes Ethnographical Open air Museum.
Today, Rumšiškės is best known for its excellent open-air ethnographic museum (established in 1966 and opened in 1974), one of the largest in Europe. The open-air museum in Rumšiškės displays the heritage of Lithuanian rural life in a vast collection of authentic re-erected buildings where the Lithuanian people lived and worked. The total area of 175 ha (432 acre) contains 140 buildings from the 18th–19th century with the restored original interiors and surroundings. This museum was established in order to preserve and research the former ways of living. The buildings of this museum are exposed as farmsteads and they all together represent the main ethnographic regions of Lithuania: Aukštaitija, Samogitia, Dzūkija and Suvalkija. The open-air museum stores the most valuable structures of farmsteads.

Jewish Vilnius (4 hrs)

During this tour we will visit the main historical places related with the life of Jews in Vilnius city. We will walk through Jewish Street that cuts through the heart of old town Vilnius and will visit the Great Synagogue. Most outward signs of the 600 - year Jewish presence in this city were sadly obliterated as a consequence of the devastating 1941- 1944 German occupation. We will visit the place of the Jewish ghetto that was encircled by barbed wire and transformed into a prison camp for the city's 60.000 Jews, nearly all of whom were executed. Also we will stop by Judenrat to remember this sad history period.
In the Gaon Jewish State Museum we'll provide an insight into past and present Jewish culture and traditions.
Later on - a visit to Paneriai memorial, where thousands of Jews were killed.

Kernave: The ancient Capital of Lithuania (4 hrs)

A trip to Kernave, the ancient capital of Lithuania situated close to Vilnius, the five mounds of which are included in the UNESCO list of objects of world culture. This historic site is the venue for the Days of Living Architecture, the feast of St John, and international folklore festivals. Rumors have spread, however, that in past days, the reborn pagan sorcerers were showing people around the former powerful fortresses and the town, therefore sometimes an image of the pagan vigil of the sacred fire can be seen. Similar visions of ancient pagan rituals can be also seen in the huge oak wood near Kernave, the road to which is lined with wooden sculptures.
